神一直尋找我們

「我若說:黑暗必定遮蔽我,我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜;黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見,黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明,在你看都是一樣。」(11-12節)

詩人再用另一個意象來形容神是不會與人分離的。這個意象的含義很深。他說,縱使我們在黑暗中,神仍然看見我們,神仍然在那裡與我們同在。

按人的經驗而言,在黑暗的地方尋找人或尋找東西,是困難的。如果我們遺失了東西,我們會在日間不斷的尋覓,但當進入黑夜,我們便會停止了,因為會徒勞無功,而且在黑夜裡可能會遇險。借用這樣的經驗去聯想神跟我們的關係的話,我們可以想像到,神是如何的不捨我們;神會在每個時刻,不管黑夜白晝;每個角落,不管天涯海角,都要連繫我們。神甚至會在傷痛、慾求、罪惡、羞恥、疚責的「黑暗」中同在,連繫我們,繼續給予生命氣息。神對我們的愛,實在是長闊高深。

神的同在是超越我們所能想像的,讓我們放心,信賴神一直同在。不管我在那裡,神就在那裡。請你現在就放鬆,慢慢呼吸,心裡默念:「黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見」;把你的意識放在與神共融的當下。請開始。……

請你在靜禱中體認,在你之內,是神聖超越的神的居所;不管你在那裡,神就在那裡。每當你察覺自己在想其他東西,或有任何思念把你的意識帶離神同在的當下,便再次在心中默念:「黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見」;然後返回當下這一刻。……

第28天


讀經:   

加拉太書三章1至9節

1無知的加拉太人哪,耶穌基督釘十字架,已經活畫在你們眼前,誰又迷惑了你們呢?

2我只要問你們這一件:你們受了聖靈,是因行律法呢?是因聽信福音呢?

3你們既靠聖靈入門,如今還靠肉身成全麼?你們是這樣的無知麼?

4你們受苦如此之多,都是徒然的麼?難道果真是徒然的麼?

5那賜給你們聖靈,又在你們中間行異能的,是因你們行律法呢?是因你們聽信福音呢?

6正如亞伯拉罕信神,這就算為他的義。

7所以,你們要知道:那以信為本的人,就是亞伯拉罕的子孫。

8並且聖經既然預先看明,神要叫外邦人因信稱義,就早已傳福音給亞伯拉罕,說:萬國都必因你得福。

9可見那以信為本的人和有信心的亞伯拉罕一同得福。

「發生了甚麼事?」保羅驚呼著說:「是否有人給你們唸了咒語?你們怎麼把我所教導的真理完全忘記?你們是初信的信徒,必須緊守這個簡單而直接的福音真理。」

這種情況豈不是在今天也常常出現嗎?通常來說,初信者比較渴慕學習真理,所以,當某人帶著權威教訓他們,尤其是引用聖經的權威來作教導時,他們便很容易會全盤接收。

我們應該學習昔日的保羅,要歇力防止初信者受人迷惑。保羅從來不會因為初信者誤入歧途,而指斥他們不再是基督徒;反之,他提醒他們要反省以下問題:

1.你們是怎樣得救的?

2.你們是怎樣領受聖靈的?

3.你認為自己如何才能在基督裡成長?

4.你們過往一直甘願為基督受苦,如今,你們是否仍然愛祂和忠於祂呢?

這些都是非常適切的問題。我們今天可以同樣用這些問題,來幫助那些被邪教、律法主義或其他極端教派迷惑的初信者,去釐清他們的信仰。他們的答案,將可以讓你明白他們的屬靈光景。

保羅的答案始終是訴諸聖經的真理。他用亞伯拉罕來提醒他們──他是在受割禮之前便信了神(跟外邦人一樣);信神之後他受了割禮(跟信神的猶太人一樣)。「亞伯拉罕信神,這就算為他的義。」(6節)在他得稱為義之後很久,神才吩咐他行割禮並頒賜律法。所以,他完全是因信稱義。

當我們跟隨亞伯拉罕的腳蹤,因信而得著神的稱義,我們便是亞伯拉罕的真後裔了。而且,除了因信稱義之外,便再無別的得救途徑。

信心是得救的唯一條件;

基督是得救的唯一根基。

WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO NEW CHRISTIANS?
Day 28


Bible Reading:   

Galatians 3:1-9

1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?

2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?

5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."

7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed."

9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO NEW CHRISTIANS?

What has happened? says Paul, "Did someone cast a spell over you? Why have you forgotten what I told you? As new Christians, you should have gone on believing the simple and straightforward gospel."

It often happens, even today, doesn't it? New Christians are eager to learn all they can. When they hear someone speaking in an authoritative way, supposedly from the Bible, they tend to accept what is said.

Paul did what we need to do today to try to help believers who have been led astray. He never said they were no longer Christians. His questions were:

1. How were you saved? 2. How did you receive the Holy Spirit? 3. How do you think you were supposed to grow in Christ? 4. You were willing to be persecuted for Christ. What happened to your love and loyalty for Him?

Those are all good relevant questions. They could be used today to try helping new believers who are being tempted by either a false cult, or by legalists or other extremists. Their answers may help you know exactly where they are at spiritually.

Paul's final appeal is again to the truth of the Scriptures. He reminded them of Abraham - the man with the first "dual citizenship". He was a believing Gentile before he became a believing Jew. "He believed God, and it (that belief) was credited to him (by God) as righteousness."

That was long before either circumcision or the law was given. He was saved by faith and by faith alone.

We are the true children of Abraham when we follow in his footsteps of faith. There never has been any other way of salvation.

REMEMBER: FAITH - THE ONLY CONDITION FOR SALVATION.

CHRIST - THE ONLY GROUND OF SALVATION.


民數記卅四至卅六章


重點: 定迦南地之疆界;分地之人;利未人的產業;設逃城;婦女承業之例。

鑰節: 在約但河東要分出三座城,在迦南地也要分出三座城,都作逃城。(卅五14)

內容: 

神在以色列人渡河進入迦南以前,對摩西說:「你吩咐以色列人說:你們過約但河,進了迦南地,就要分出幾座城,為你們作逃城,使誤殺人的可以逃到那裡。這些城可以作逃避報仇人的城,使誤殺人的不至於死,等他站在會眾面前聽審判。你們所分出來的城,要作六座逃城。」(9-13節)

由此可見,神雖是聖潔公義的,不容許罪惡,卻是不喜歡人死亡,憐憫那些非故意殺人的,為他們預備逃城,給他們活命之路。

但很奇怪,神預備六座逃城,卻三座在河東,三座在迦南地;這是不成比例的。迦南地的面積比河東大,人口比河東多;河東只有二支派半,迦南則有九支派半。正常來說,迦南地的逃城應比河東多,為何神卻不按正比作分配呢?

這裡顯出了神的慈心。河東本非祂賜給選民的應許地,只是有二支派半留戀那地,成了神應許以外的人。但他們是屬神的,神也就特別顯出對他們的憐愛。主耶穌在地上的時候,那些被人厭棄的稅吏、妓女、罪人,主特別憐憫他們,作他們的朋友。感謝讚美主!


默想: 我們外邦人是否蒙神特別的慈恩?有否以神的慈愛接待人呢?

神無所不在、時時都在

「我若說:黑暗必定遮蔽我,我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜;黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見,黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明,在你看都是一樣。」(11-12節)

詩人再用另一個意象來形容神是不會與人分離的。這個意象的含義很深。他說,縱使我們在黑暗中,神仍然看見我們,神仍然在那裡與我們同在。

無論是甚麼原因造成的「黑暗」經歷,當我們發現自己落在如此光景裡,便自然會想:我在黑暗之中,神不會看見我了。按人的經驗而言,這樣的想法是很合理的。我們是無法在一片黑暗中找到所要的人或物件的。所以,當我們在漆黑的環境裡,亦自然會想:沒有人會看見我了。難怪做壞事的人,總是選擇在黑夜、沒有人看見的地方才做。詩人也借用一般的人性經驗來形容神跟人的關係:正常地,當人在黑暗裡,必定被黑暗遮蔽;但奇妙的是,從神來看,根本沒有黑暗,黑暗一點也不能遮蔽人,使神不見。所以,「每當我在黑暗裡,神就不在」,這種習慣的想法並不是事實。信仰的事實是:神無所不在、時時都在!

神的同在是超越我們所能想像的,讓我們放心,信賴神一直同在。不管我在那裡,神就在那裡。請你現在就放鬆,慢慢呼吸,心裡默念:「黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見」;把你的意識放在與神共融的當下。請開始。……

讀經:   

加拉太書二章17至21節

17我們若求在基督裡稱義,卻仍舊是罪人,難道基督是叫人犯罪的麼?斷乎不是!

18我素來所拆毀的,若重新建造,這就證明自己是犯罪的人。

19我因律法,就向律法死了,叫我可以向神活著。

20我已經與基督同釘十字架,現在活著的不再是我,乃是基督在我裡面活著;並且我如今在肉身活著,是因信神的兒子而活;他是愛我,為我捨己。

21我不廢掉神的恩;義若是藉著律法得的,基督就是徒然死了。

你還記得我們最初介紹加拉太書的時候,指出它有某些難解的地方嗎?今天我們便要處理其中一段了。我們該如何理解它呢?讓我們再細讀一遍,然後求主幫助我們去明白。

保羅在這段經文中,似乎仍然引用他在安提阿對彼得所講的話。他在第15節說「我們這生來的猶太人……」,是指彼得和其他來自耶路撒冷的人。接著他說:「當我們猶太人來到基督面前,才發現不單外邦人是罪人,我們猶太人也是。」全都是罪人,並無種族、國籍之分。

保羅在第19節指出,律法告訴我們一個事實:不拘是猶太人或外邦人,全都是罪人,因為我們都違背了神的律法,都要接受定罪,而罪的刑罰就是死。然而,基督卻為我們的罪受死;人既已死,律法便再不能指控他了。律法不能罰同一個人兩次,人對律法而言已是死的。

對基督徒來說,他已因著基督的死而向律法是死的;但他也是藉著基督才能活著。他脫離律法之後,再不可任意而行,反之,他只能「為神而活」。

保羅在第20節說得非常清楚:「我已經與基督同釘十字架,現在活著的不再是我,乃是基督在我裡面活著!」這是一種截然不同的生活方式!

你可以想出我們在哪些方面與基督認同嗎?

我們與祂同死。

我們與祂一同埋葬。

我們與祂一同復活。

我們如今彷彿與祂一同活在天上。

我們將會與祂一同再來(如果我們在祂再來之前死去的話)。

我們將會與祂一同作王。

這是何等奇妙的福音!在神的眼中,我們是活在基督裡,所以已經發生在基督身上,或將會發生在祂身上的事,神都看為發生在我們身上。讚美主!認識基督真是何等大的樂事!

WHAT IS OUR POSITION?
Day 27


Bible Reading:   

Galatians 2:17-21

17 "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!

18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."

WHAT IS OUR POSITION?

Do you remember in our first study in Galatians, we stated that there are some difficult sections in this epistle? We have come to one of them. What can we do with it? Let's read it again and ask the Lord to help our understanding.

In this passage it would seem that Paul is still quoting from what he said to Peter at Antioch. In verse 15 he spoke to Peter and the others, "We who are Jews..." Then he said (v.17), "When we Jews come to Christ, we discover that not just the Gentiles are sinners, we Jews are too." All are sinners - everyone is a sinner.

In verse 19 Paul points out that the Law tells us that truth - that we, both Jews and Gentiles, are sinners and worthy of death. We have broken the Law of God and are under its condemnation. But Christ has died for us. When a person dies, the Law no longer has any claim on him. The Law cannot punish the same man twice. He is dead to the Law.

Now in the case of a Christian, he has died to the Law through Christ's death. But he is also alive through Christ. He is not free from the Law to live any way he wants to, but to "live unto God".

Paul says it so plainly in verse 20, "I was crucified with Christ when He died. But I am alive spiritually now as well as physically. Actually it is Christ living in me!" What a wonderful way to live!

How many ways can you think of in which we are identified with Christ?

1. We died with Him.

2. We were buried with Him.

3. We rose again with Him.

4. We are seen as if in heaven with Him.

5. We will come again with Him (if we die before He returns).

6. We will reign with Him.

What a marvellous gospel! God sees us in Christ as if everything that has happened to Christ or will happen to Christ has also happened or will happen to us. Praise the Lord! Aren't you glad you know Christ?


民數記卅二至卅三章


重點: 流便,迦得及瑪拿西半支派得約但河東地;總結以色列人在曠野的旅程;迦南人必須驅逐。

鑰節: 你們若退後不跟從祂,祂還要把以色列人撇在曠野,便是你們使這眾民滅亡。(卅二15)

內容: 

神將以色列人從埃及領出來,為的是領他們去承受祂應許亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的迦南地。他們已來到約但河東,預備渡河進入迦南之前,流便子孫和迦得子孫看見河東之雅謝地和基列地是可牧放牲畜之地,就來見摩西和祭司以利亞撒,並會眾的首領,要求把這地給他們為業,不要領他們過約但河。

神這應許美地,摩西極願意進去,卻因小錯失而不能進去;流便和迦得子孫能進去,反不願進去,豈不重蹈四十年前的歷史嗎?摩西指責他們的不是,最後說:「你們若退後不跟從祂,祂還要把以色列人撇在曠野,便是你們使這眾民滅亡。」

神的心意是整個以色列都進入應許地,若有部分支派不在應許地,就成了神計劃的破口,整個百姓都會受累。

神對教會(所有神的兒女)同樣有這旨意,每一個基督徒都是身體(教會)之肢體,若有肢體不連於身體,就造成身體的傷害。今天教會不能健壯,失去見證,這是原因之一。


默想: 我們是否在基督以外尋求滿足?這對自己對教會帶來甚麼傷害和難處?

靈命進深必經的「心靈黑暗」

「我若說:黑暗必定遮蔽我,我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜;黑暗也不能遮蔽我使你不見,黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明,在你看都是一樣。」(11-12節)

靈性生活上的「心靈黑暗」,也可能是跟傷痛、慾求或罪行無關的,那純粹是靈性生活進深的必然階段,是信心鍊淨的經歷,以至全然降服於生命之神。這是基督教靈修傳統裡所說的「黑暗之路」。走上「黑暗之路」的信徒,不是因為他們對神的愛心、信心貧乏,而相反的,是他們足夠成熟,可以放下感覺及思維上對神的執著。我們習慣了以既定的模式信仰神,例如:我信仰神、我愛慕神,因為我經驗到神如何的幫助我、扶持我。但進入靈性生活的「黑暗」階段的信徒,並沒有感覺到神同在的甜蜜;他們經歷靈性生活上的「黑暗」之苦,是因為他們對信仰堅信不移,但情感上卻沒有神同在的溫馨感覺。經過如此「黑暗」之苦的信徒,他們更趨成熟。他們信仰神,不再因為感覺到神對他們好;他們信仰神,單因為他們是從神而生,是源於神,是神的一部份,渴望回歸於神。

言行不一

讀經:   

加拉太書二章11至16節

11後來,磯法到了安提阿;因他有可責之處,我就當面抵擋他。

12從雅各那裡來的人未到以先,他和外邦人一同吃飯,及至他們來到,他因怕奉割禮的人,就退去與外邦人隔開了。

13其餘的猶太人也都隨著他裝假,甚至連巴拿巴也隨夥裝假。

14但我一看見他們行的不正,與福音的真理不合,就在眾人面前對磯法說:你既是猶太人,若隨外邦人行事,不隨猶太人行事,怎麼還勉強外邦人隨猶太人呢?

15我們這生來的猶太人,不是外邦的罪人;

16既知道人稱義不是因行律法,乃是因信耶穌基督,連我們也信了基督耶穌,使我們因信基督稱義,不因行律法稱義;因為凡有血氣的,沒有一人因行律法稱義。

我們最常聽到非信徒對信徒的批評,就是指他們是言行不一的偽君子。面對這項指控,我們有時也覺得啞口無言。

這種言行不一的表現並不是今天所獨有。昔日保羅在安提阿的時候,便因為見到作為教會領袖的彼得,有言行不一的表現,於是便直斥其非。那究竟是怎麼一回事呢?

事情發生在第一次教會會議圓滿結束之後。保羅、巴拿巴等一行人回到安提阿,受到信徒的熱烈歡迎。他們在該城大力開展福音工作,在教會裡面也繼續進行教導事工。不久,彼得從耶路撒冷來到他們中間,了解教會的發展情況。

彼得最初熱切地與來自不同種族的信徒相交,可是,當耶路撒冷有一批猶太信徒來到,情況便出現微妙的變化。其後來的那批猶太人不願意跟外邦信徒一同分享「愛筵」。儘管上次會議已作出議決,但彼得卻害怕開罪那些猶太人,於是便作出妥協,不跟外邦信徒吃飯。彼得為甚麼有這種言行不一的表現呢?

我們該怎樣為彼得解釋呢?如果換了是我們,我們又會怎樣解釋呢?請留意,其他信徒也有份裝假(13節)。信徒之間的問題往往會產生連鎖作用。彼得和那些追隨他的人都知道怎樣做才對,可是,他們卻因為有其他人在場而故意躲避。這就是虛偽的表現。

要指出其他信徒的不是,實在需要極大的勇氣;如果對方是一名領袖,就更不用說了。然而,為了福音的緣故,保羅知道他不得不指出(11節)。當中牽涉了一個重要原則──福音是要人得自由,包括掙脫律法的捆綁而得享的自由。我們將會在明天談及保羅在這方面的教導。

此刻,讓我們各人反省自己,並祈求聖靈顯明我們有哪些地方言行不一。我們為基督所作的見證,必須是清潔、純全和知行合一的見證,否則便很難影響別人信主。

ARE WE EVER INCONSISTENT?
Day 26


Bible Reading:   

Galatians 2:11-16

11 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed;

12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.

13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, "If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?

15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

ARE WE EVER INCONSISTENT?

One of the many charges often made against the church and against individual Christians by unbelievers is that we are all hypocrites and are inconsistent in our behaviour. It is a statement which isn't always easy to answer.

Again this is nothing new. Paul faced it in Antioch and had to confront Peter, a church leader, regarding his inconsistent actions. How did this happen?

It was after the first church council which had ended on a happy note. Paul and Barnabas with others returned to a warm welcome in Antioch. A strong evangelistic thrust began in the city and a continuous teaching ministry started in the church. Then Peter came down from Jerusalem to see how they were getting on.

He entered heartily into the multi-racial fellowship until some other Jerusalem Jews arrived. These men refused to share in the "love-feast" with the Gentile believers. In spite of all that had been decided, Peter was afraid of these Jews and sided with them. Why? How could he be so inconsistent?

How do we explain Peter's inconsistency? How do we explain our own? Notice that others became involved too (v.13). Trouble among believers often causes a chain reaction. Peter, and those who followed him, knew better but acted that way because of the others who were present. That is hypocrisy.

It always takes courage to confront another believer, especially a leader. But for the sake of the gospel, Paul knew it had to be done (v.11). There was a great principle involved - the freedom of the Gospel. Our next reading will cover what Paul said.

Can we look again at our own lives and ask the Holy Spirit to put his finger on anything there which is inconsistent? Our testimony for Christ must be clear, clean and consistent if we are to touch other lives for Him.


民數記卅至卅一章


重點: 許願之例;戰勝米甸人;分所獲之物。

鑰節: 耶和華吩咐摩西說:「你要在米甸人身上報以色列人的仇,後來要歸到你列祖那裡。」(卅一1-2)

內容: 

在神選民等候過河、摩西離世之先,神又吩咐摩西要完成一件工作,就是為祂復仇,為以色列人向米甸人報仇。

米甸人本不是神要毀滅的迦南人,而且他們與以色列有血緣關係,都是亞伯拉罕後裔;但神吩咐摩西要從百姓中間,叫人帶兵器出去攻擊米甸,好在米甸人身上為耶和華報仇。這是甚麼原因?

因為他們從前照巴蘭的詭計,用美色引誘以色列人行淫、拜偶像。他們敗壞以色列人,也就是與神為敵。正如保羅未悔改前逼害信主的人,主對他說:「你為甚麼逼迫我?」米甸人既這樣對待神的子民,也就是這樣的對待了神,神豈能不報仇呢?不為祂的子民報仇呢?

在以色列人受米甸女子引誘時,神用瘟疫懲罰了祂的子民;現今神要追討那罪惡的源頭,吩咐摩西攻打米甸人,並將獻計的巴蘭殺死。為的是使祂的子民清除所有的罪,除掉罪的誘因,得以聖潔的進入祂的應許地。


默想: 只有順從神對付罪惡、罪因的,才可能享受神的安息。如何對付罪因?(參羅六:與基督同死)
